A long hike,lunch with family and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum

This past weekend my sister Pilar and I met my cousin Elena and her husband Declan who were visiting from Ireland.

Fiona was coo coo for Declan. It must be an Irish name thing.

We walked to the Cooper Hewitt Museum to attend this exhibit.

Wall Stories

A lovely well worth it exhibit IF you don't have to chase a four year old around the museum. I did get approximately 6 minutes to rush about while Elena and fiona watched an installation of video of ( I think) Daffy Duck.

A Confession

I am a loner. Before I had my daughter I would do alot on my own but sometimes I would feel awkward to I opted out of alot of things. I have always loved fantasy, fairies and magical things and now I have this great partner to explore with. 

Wednesday night I took my nephews, Lukas and Bennett and Fiona to watch the balloon inflation for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. This is the first time I have ever gone!

Fiona's Birthday Bash

Fiona loves Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder. I love it too. I considered taking her to Hersey's Park,Pa. but reconsidered due to the amount of $. In the end this simple shing ding cost more money. Next year it is a trip for her fifth. 

Fiona's Fourth Birthday

My FiFi Belle has turned four! How time has flown. WE threw a big bash yesterday and I am wipped out. Or course there was so much to do and the time just flew that I really didn't get a chance to take many pictures. But I did get one after the festivities of Fiona in a princess out fit from her classmate Cody. Too cute.

Row Boating and Fiona

I have been blessed with the most fearless child I have ever met. It is great and then it is is not so great. And this how I will begin my blog about my almost 4 year old daughter, Fiona Belle.

A couple of weekends ago we took a trip to Central Park. As a child my mom would drag my sisters and I nearly everyday to Sheeps Meadow Hecksher and Adventure Playground. This has become Fiona's all time favorite playground. While strolling through the park she saw the row boats by Bethesda Fountain and insisted that she must get one. Who was I to argue, all of my 36 years living in NYC ( minus 4 in Boulder) I had never been in a rowboat in Central Park.
