Oh by the way I love tiles...

Another NYC Subway installation that always thrills me. The downtown C train at 81 st street, American Museum Of Natural History.

 

 

NYC Subway system has beautiful tiles

Two cardboard boxes, poster paint, sponges and three kids in a couple of hours

This past Saturday I was invited to an impromptu haunted house building at my neighbors apartment.This is is how it turned out.

 

 

 

 

Pretty cool huh?

With Halloween and cold weather upon us I had to make some stuff

Here is the beginnings of Fiona's coat.

 

 

 

And what beagn as a "CUPCAKE PRINCESS" has simply become "a princess".

 

 

Try convincing Miss Fiona that she needs a headdress. She is refusing to wear any coats or sweaters despite the 40 degree tempertures. " I like the cold", she claims.

I usually don't get out much but today was special

My dear friend April 

invited me to an art opening of her friend Christophe

He takes photographs , color separates them, then makes stencils sometimes over fifteen and then layers them using spray paint. Pretty awesome stuff.

The show was at this guy's studio

Some stuff he is working on.

Then April's old friend showed up from Tin Pan Alley.

She makes art too.

In 1981 my mother worked in the kitchen at Tin Pan alley and I washed dishes and ran errands. I was 13.

He was an actor, an artist , a muralist, make up artist and movie extra.

I have been working on this dress for Fiona in bits n pieces. It is almost done. I just need to hem the sleeves and skirt and  add three more buttons.
